Reflection of the Scripture Reading.*

Reflection. The life of Ruth; Scripture Reading: Ruth 4:11-22. One of the most beautiful stories of the Bible come to a happy ending. The elders of Bethlehem recognized the handiwork of God and gave his blessing to Ruth and Boaz. It seems the greater the joy of Naomi, because the birth of Obed (which means "servant") reversed the plight of the family. The Bible is careful to note that God gave the son of Boaz and Ruth. The "bitter" Naomi stay in Moab and blessing to return to Bethlehem, along with Ruth and foreign situation that was not part of the Lord's people, we are reminded that we are never so far from God and so we can not return to It's Him, God loves us even in the midst of misery and despair, and can bless us no matter the circumstances. The best compliment women of Bethlehem Ruth could give was to say it was "more valuable than seven sons." This remarkable woman of Moab was a valuable addition to the Messianic line of David, which is a key point of the story. The book of Ruth is not only the story of people who were faithful in Israel during the time of the judges, when faith was scarce. It is also the story of how God gave rewards that faith when you leave the genealogy of Ruth and Boaz the great King David. David not only Israel would bring their glory days, but would also be kind of the coming of the great Redeemer of the nation and of humanity, the Messiah.
