Biblia Antiguo Testamento Abraham, el hombre de la promesa 2/4

're Worth mentioning, that in the United States of America, there is the Church of Jesus Christ, I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. John 10:11 >> * <<I mean I am the Prophet, and the judgment is for all nations.Jesus is Coming., Repent and return, says the Lord.Acts 3:19 << >> *He says the word of God will bless those who bless you, and you curse, curse. And you shall be blessed all the families of the earth.A promise was that God would make Abraham a great nation. ...Another great promise. << >> * Genesis 12:3Shalom to all, my greatest wish is that, be happy,on Earth that God gives you in position.Prophet of God to all nations:
Teresa Aquino.
1. A promise was that God would make of Abram a great nation. God showed him heaven and promised that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars. But Abram had no children. For many years she married, but his wife, Sarah, was barren.
Abram had a concubine named Hagar. Sara and Abram decided that God wanted him, Abram, had children with Hagar. Abram had a son with Hagar. His name was Ishmael. However, this was not the way in which God would bless the family of Abram.
When Abram was ninety-nine years, God gave him the covenant of circumcision and changed his name to Abraham. The name "Abram" means "exalted father". The name "Abraham" means "father of multitudes." God promised a miracle child. He promised that his barren wife, Sarah, have a child. Abraham believed God. Many years later the apostle Paul wrote:
Abraham believed against hope, so became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, So shall thy seed be. Without becoming weak in faith, he was very aware of your body already dead (since he had almost a hundred years) and the deadness of Sarah's womb. But no doubt the promise of God through unbelief. Rather, it was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, fully convinced that God, who had promised, he was able to do so. For this reason it was counted for righteousness. (Romans 4:18 - 22)
This son was named Isaac miraculous. Today the children of Isaac are so numersos as the stars of heaven, just as God promised.
2. Another great promise God made to Abraham was that he would inherit the land of Palestine. This also happened when I was living. But Abraham still believed God. That land became known as "the Promised Land." The children of Abraham as Abraham believed that someday God would give them the land He had promised them. Today, that promise has been fulfilled.
3. Another promise to Abraham was that "in thy seed shall be blessed all the families of the earth." This was a promise about Jesus. Abraham died aproximadamente1, 900 years before the birth of Jesus. Abraham still believed God. Jesus said, "Abraham your father rejoiced to see my day. He saw it and was glad." (John 8:56) Jesus Abraham did not see with human eyes, but saw Jesus through the eyes of faith.
Perhaps the most important lesson we learn from Abraham, therefore, has to do with the forgiveness of sins. Abraham was a sinner. On two separate occasions, even defended his wife, but said she was his sister. However, because of their faith, God saw that Abraham was a righteous man. (Genesis 15:6)
If you have faith like Abraham, will have their sins forgiven and God shall be fair. The apostle Paul told the Galatians in this way:
So are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise. (Galatians 3:267 - 29)
Also, Abraham obeyed God. Perhaps the most difficult mandate had to obey was to sacrifice his son Isaac. Abraham was willing to do that. His faith was so strong that he believed that God was able to raise Isaac from the dead. When God saw that Abraham was willing to obey, even at the sacrifice of his son, Isaac was saved.
Later James wrote:
Was not justified by works our father Abraham, when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by works. And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned as righteousness, and was called the friend of God. (James 2:21 - 23)
Abraham is mentioned many times in the Bible and God used him to teach us many lessons.
